   hi Miriam and all who read this site and all other connected brothers and sisters around the world who are preparing for our future, I have a patch of growing area which is Organic as near as humanly possible, i have began digging over for next year (not long now) and dig in as manure the chicken droppings from my organic chucks and they love any greens i give them as treats , so waste from the garden gets recycled again and again providing all round wholesome food for humans and animals alike , the bugs are taking care of themselves and so far i have not had many problems with pests, i have started collecting my seeds from the veg and purposely let some go to seed for that reason , a tip for every one wherever you live start stocking food that is imported from other countries, flour sugar oil etc because if it requires long haul imports it isn`t going to happen if fuel prices keep rising, get them now while they are cheap, oh and don`t forget water purifying tablets or similar just a hunch , survival is the key LOVE and LIGHT Lorraine from England
