I think you are honest and sincere which is why I keep up with what you’re doing. I too feel the answers will come in everyday people speaking up, speaking out, speaking to one another, talking about solving our own problems locally, taking care of one another without a lot of political hoopla. It’s about all of us taking back our personal sovereignty from misguided elites who think they’ve stolen it from us but they are wrong, it’s just an illusion. We stop them in their tracks by saying no to them (politely but firmly) and saying yes to one another. It grows, it spreads out from the original oppressed peoples who understand how to do this… and we win. How could it be any other way?
We feel the current shift, we see the hunger in people’s faces for more of the ‘real stuff’ and we, you and me and all of us, can give them and us that very thing when we slow down, take time for ourselves and for them, become real people to each other once again.
I’m really struck lately with the artificial methods we use to get around. If we had to walk or ride a horse we’d notice the land over which we travel. No wonder we don’t care. We step out of our artificial home environments and get into our heated & cooled recliner-chair boxes run by 10 or 20 milk jugs full of dangerous amber fluid that we never see or touch or interact with personally but which comes mysteriously from somewhere underground. We have no relation to this substance and certainly wouldn’t tolerate using it if we had to buy it off the shelf like milk and pour it into our cars one jug at a time.
We roll along in these boxes in an induced state of hypnosis, barely noticing the smooth black oil-based surfaces covering huge amounts of formerly living earth. We are many layers removed from the soils, the grasses, the very air and molecules of the space through which we’re moving. We arrive at more artificial surfaces and environments, rarely if ever setting foot on real dirt or brushing against a wild plant.
People cannot understand what the earth feels or needs if they haven’t touched it. No wonder they can’t relate to it. No wonder they don’t consider that it’s alive and has needs of its own or that they themselves are suffering from chronic earth-withdrawal. Why do small children have so much happiness playing outside by themselves? They make a point to touch the earth, to taste it and play with it as though it were a beloved friend. Children make a beeline for dirt and grass and water and the whole outdoors because they are not yet ‘artificial’. They touch their environment and interact with it and they smile and laugh and sleep soundly at night.
Some of us could begin there and it would make a difference, I think.

The young must come back to a humble place of heart and sit with their elders and not step one step of a sacred dance without the elders saying so.
I think you know of the holy mountain in Arkansas. I have always thought that the circle in the gorge would be the place of meeting that is coming which you call the Great Gathering. Please, Miriam, keep a place in that gathering for people of mixed ancestry who may not yet know which world is the path they should walk. I think we would all be very surprised just how mixed our own ancestry is, each and every one. And in any gathering of Earth’s children, my hope is that each will welcome each other as simply a human brother or sister, welcome each other with human love and share the wisdom each has brought.

I just started listening to this blog update. I am surprised ANYONE would think that you tried to respresent the Hopi. That was abundantly clear in your coast to coast interview that you were representing yourself, not the Hopi. I thought you CLEARLY laid out the point that we need to understand the Hopi’s hesitancy to speak when things get so twisted and misconstrued. Obviously this has happened to your coast to coast message as well. SIGH

It was a very nice show on coast.I apreciate your articulatenes,patience,and goodheartedness.I have a fertile peace of Mother earth that i bought.I built a log house,but i have no people to share the place with.It is not easy to sell now,and that was my intention at the time of building.I dont mind living here,,but i would prefer to build a log home on a peace of ground closer within the mountains,at least where i can have a good few of them and feel them,and i prefer being off the grid.If i can help in any way,let me know!
