I began to write my fourth posting regarding Colombia, the Mamos, the water and the details of how I came to be on the Sacred walk with them during my time in the Sierra Nevada. Something happened along the way. The reality of my life here in this world has taken a hold of me and shook out me out of where my whole being was still residing, Colombia.

During my time in the Sierra as you all know I was blessed to have the opportunity to travel with Sabrina Montanaro from Italy. It was her open heart that allowed for me to have this simply amazing access to the Mamos, her contacts and the Mountain itself. From the start I knew that the cost would be travel for two and that it would only be possible by donations as my personal fiances have run out for this work. However, when I arrived from the first day all of that changed unknown to both of us. I had to pay for four people to travel with all the expenses for the time we were together.

I knew that this was an opportunity and I could not let you all down on so I accepted that the money I did have would have to be spent on this trip in the moment. I went with a goal and this appeared to be the only way to accomplish that goal of talking with the Sacred people. During this trip The Sacred Walk around The Black Line with the Mamos also presented itself. In that situation the only way that it was possible to take part was to hire a private jeep to follow the other jeeps in the convoy of vehicles for this very special time of ceremony for the Mamos….. for humanity and for the world itself. It took very little thought again for me to say yes to these much added expenses.

I will not go into long detail regarding this as I prefer to write longer posts sharing more about this trip with you and the outcome of that. There is much more to come. For those who are on my Facebook there are pictures and I am trying to figure out how to share them on Flicker so you can all see them. The video that was shot while I was there is on its way but that will take some time to complete.

The reason for this post is to thank you all for your support and to ask that you continue to support the work I am doing for the future. It has come to the point where I can not do any more travel until the debt that I incurred on this trip and the many prior to Hopi are cleared away. I am simply….. at the breaking point and need your support.

As the work continues I now have a volunteer helper looking into setting up a non profit for this work to unite and educate for a better world. This process will take 18 months to complete. If there is a non profit that would be interested in having The Great Gathering so we could have a fiscal sponsor please let me know this as well. It would be appreciated as we need great funds to get this project off the ground.

MESSAGE FROM THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF AMERICA
FROM LA COCHA, GUAMUÉS, PASTO, NARIÑO

We, Grandmothers and Grandfathers, Mamos and Mamas, male and female traditional medical doctors, Taitas, Wise Ones for the ancestral culture and Spiritual leaders, representatives of the indigenous people , convened in Narino, Colombia, for the First International Meeting of Andean cultures. We have words to share, so as to plant a message in the hearts of those who will listen.
We thank the Great Spirit for giving us this opportunity to experience this historical meeting “TIEMPO DE FLORECER”, “TIME FOR BLOSSOMING’, and also through this thank the people of Nariño for this convocation of unity and wisdom between the original populations of America.
We belong to different populations and cultures, but we recognize through our feeling of unity and through the Law of Origin, the essence of our thoughts and actions are quite the same. For us our differences are complementary, they do not divide us.
We, who look after life, we love our Mother Earth, we respect our Elders, and guard the memory of our roots and seeds, and all the ancient wisdom.
We, who preserve the unity of humankind, we, who offer the best of ourselves to the Great Spirit, to our Sacred Mother and to our Father Sun, we do have a clear vision of how to do things.
It is very important we recognize now, more than ever that any decision made today will have consequences for our future generations, for our children and our children’s children. We are responsible for the future.
Historically, since the conquest, we have been trampled upon and deceived by the worldview of us, which has excluded us. We condemn the abuse and indiscriminate pillaging our Mother Earth, the dispossession of our lands and our cultures, the constant attack against the lives of our leaders and our villages. We are conscious that it is not enough to denounce before the world our problems, but mostly we pray that our knowledge be considered universal value and be used as a path and a potential solution.
Some people consider us illiterate because we do not use the parameters of their science, but we do know and practice the alphabet and the secrets of Mother Nature and our own traditional science.
Our Thoughts and our Words are one with our life. This is why this message is so important. We say that there is only One Mother Earth. We are all children warmed and caressed by the same Father Sun, tread on the same earth, breathed the same air and bathed in the same water. We are brothers, like the fingers of one hand. We never speak about the colour of skin, underneath we are all equal, and therefore we must work together red, black, white and yellow. With respect for every ones knowledge, we ask that our knowledge be respected in a practice of exchange.
We summon the solidarity and justice for all the people of the world. In the same way that we facilitate the flow of life, we demand the right to continue to live according to our vision of the world and of ourselves.
We have been responsible and guardians for the memory of mankind, and although many times they tried to destroy us, the memory is still alive. This memory, preserved by our ancestors, and which today we are taking care off and are sharing, it is primarily the memory of life. We invite all the people on Earth to share in this memory, and be reborn from the same seed.
We are speaking about the right to life. We respect the natural change in all things, the equilibrium of life and understand that in the universe everything has its process and its time.
The invitation to the ‘Minga del Pensamiento’ that was made to us by the Government of Nariño, the United Nations in Colombia and other institutions is a sign of willingness to hear the word of the ancestral wisdom by those who now have a responsibility to make decisions. I invite the rest of world governments to follow suit and build dialogue with us for a common future.
We propose union between all Native people and also with all other people who have been welcomed to life by our unique mother, the Mother Earth.
We invite you to understand and to accept that:
- Water is not only a symbol of life, but life itself, the blood of our land. We demand that the water be considered a heritage of both life and humanity both in our territories and in the rest of the world.
- We will continue to be the protectors of nature as part of the balance between humanity and Mother Earth.
- To be in control over the integration processes of Western medicine with traditional medicine witch must  be recognized, protected and promoted as a cultural heritage of our people; healing practices and their own system: medicinal plants, rituals, ancestral knowledge.
- Value to the place of women as guarantors of life, and transmitters of our culture , and caregivers of wisdom and health of our people.
- Indigenous peoples are governed by the law of origin and by natural law with autonomy, governance and their own vision of the cosmos. There is a need and a right to be recognized as authorities in our own territory and to be consulted concerning all the decisions that affect our lives.
- These words and knowledge that we have inherited from our ancestors is our legacy to future generations, to our sons and daughters. With this, we guarantee the permanence of our own indigenous people and consider this our contribution and our gift to humanity as whole.
On behalf of reciprocity, of justice and respect that must unite us, we demand that our people be protected, our ancestral wisdom be considered spiritual heritage, tangible and intangible heritage of humanity.
Count on us to preserve the existence of mankind and all forms of life on planet earth. Our ancient knowledge can be accepted as a way of healing to the various crises and violence that afflict humans, family, society, states, nature.
We pledge ourselves to work and promote from our spiritual and cultural strength so that the rulers and governors of the earth work with more heart and spirituality, and become more respectful of nature and convert themselves into preservers of life.

Somos hijos que nos calentamos y nos sentimos acariciados por el mismo Padre Sol, pisamos la misma tierra, respiramos el mismo aire y nos bañamos con la misma agua. Nosotros somos hermanos, como los dedos de una misma mano. Nosotros no hablamos del color de la piel, debajo de ella todos somos iguales, por lo tanto debemos trabajar unidos rojos, negros, blancos y amarillos. Respetando el pensamiento de todos, pedimos que nuestro pensamiento sea respetado en la práctica de la reciprocidad.

Evocamos la solidaridad de los pueblos del mundo y la justicia. Así como nosotros facilitamos el fluir de la vida, demandamos poder seguir viviendo de acuerdo a nuestras visiones del mundo y modos de ser propios.

Hemos sido responsables y guardianes de la memoria de la humanidad, y aunque muchas veces intentaron destruirnos, la memoria sigue viva. Esta memoria preservada por nuestros ancestros, que hoy cuidamos y compartimos, es ante todo, la memoria de la vida. Invitamos a todos los pueblos de la Tierra a compartir esta memoria, y renacer desde la semilla de la misma.

Hablamos del derecho a la vida. Respetamos el cambio natural de las cosas, el equilibrio de la vida; entender que en el universo todo tiene su proceso y su tiempo.

Proponemos la unión de los pueblos originarios y de éstos con los demás pueblos acogidos por nuestra única madre, la Madre Tierra.
Invitamos a comprender y asumir que:

- El agua no es solo un símbolo de vida, sino la vida misma, la sangre de nuestra tierra. Demandamos que el agua se considere un patrimonio de la vida y la humanidad tanto en nuestros territorios ancestrales como en el resto del mundo.

- Continuaremos siendo los protectores de la naturaleza como parte del equilibrio entre el ser humano y la madre tierra.

- Se gesten procesos de integración de las formas de medicina occidental con la medicina ancestral, se reconozca, proteja y promueva como patrimonio cultural de nuestros pueblos las prácticas de curación propias así como sus medios: plantas medicinales, rituales, conocimientos ancestrales.

- Se valore el lugar de la mujer como garante de la vida, transmisora de la cultura y cuidadora de la sabiduría y salud de nuestros pueblos.

- Los pueblos indígenas se rigen por la ley de origen y la ley natural con autonomía, gobierno y cosmovisión propia. Es necesario y un derecho que se nos reconozca como autoridades de nuestro territorio y se consulte con nosotros todas las decisiones que afectan nuestras vidas.

- Estas palabras y conocimientos que hemos heredado de nuestros ancestros son nuestro legado a las futuras generaciones, a nuestros hijos e hijas. Con ello garantizamos la permanencia de nuestros propios pueblos indígenas y lo consideramos un aporte y un regalo para la humanidad.

- En nombre de la reciprocidad, la justicia y el respeto que nos debe unir, demandamos que se proteja a nuestros pueblos, nuestro saber ancestral como patrimonio espiritual, material e inmaterial de la humanidad.

- Cuenten con nosotros para preservar la existencia de la humanidad y de todas las formas de vida en el planeta tierra.

- Nuestro conocimiento ancestral puede ser acogido como un camino de sanación ante las diversas crisis y violencias que afligen a los seres humanos, la familia, la sociedad, los Estados, la naturaleza.

- Nos comprometemos a trabajar y promover desde nuestra fuerza espiritual y cultural para que los gobernantes de la tierra trabajen más con el espíritu y con el corazón, respeten más la naturaleza y se conviertan en preservadores de la vida.

We welcome our indigenous brothers and sisters from around the world and invite them to join their hands and hearts to ours so we may walk as one into the future.

Too much time has passed since we have been separated and it is time for the heart of humanity to heal.

The people of the world need to remember who they are and begin to live in balance with the earth once more.

Those sacred people who have not forgotten their traditional ways and those who are in the cities around the world that hold the same heart must now step forward as one voice to speak to the world.

The voice of The Great Gathering of humanity and the sacred indigenous people cannot be bought and sold. This voice must be available to all the people of Earth. It must be free, for all sacred knowledge and all wisdom is not for sale. It is a gift from the creator to our hearts and it is what gives us life.

The ancient prophecies cannot be fulfilled until those with the right intentions and the right heart come forward and walk together as one.

There will come a time when man does not understand the difficulties that he is having with money and the material world. That time is now. There are people all over the earth who are waiting for the Great Gathering of the Indigenous to begin. We are now ready to hear the instructions of the sacred people so they know how to move through this special time of change.

No longer can we wait for change to come. We must act as one to create this movement so that balance can be restored. The people of Earth are ready to hear your voices and we are here to support that voice.

We are creating a space to give to you, the original people of Earth, a voice—a voice that can be carried around the world. We invite you to share your messages from the heart and your instructions for bringing back the balance of life. Together we will create change.

These words can be created in writing or in video. They will not be altered or changed and they will remain your property. No one can use these messages to make money for him/herself. If the messages are given from the heart to the world we believe that they must be shared freely from the heart as well.

The time for books and movies is over. Many have come in the past to assist in bringing your messages to the people. Yet the messages have not been heard by many. They have been sold and they have been taken on as theirs, to own. These times are special and so we, the people at The Great Gathering, are here as volunteers to give you the space for what you feel is important. We give to you honor and respect as the original caretakers of Earth and our leaders for the future.

If you need assistance in any way to create these messages—even in the jungles and the deserts—we can send those of true heart to you and they will assist you to send the messages back.

There are many of us around the world that are working to create change and respect for Mother Earth. We are now ready to stand with you and show support in any way that you ask of us. The purpose of our lives is to be here at this time to stand with you and create the change we need in the world. We are from all countries, cities, villages, races, religions and beliefs and we support you.

We are calling all the colors of the rainbow to show their support to you—the true and original people of Earth. We are all from the stars and we choose to be here at this time. We are now awaiting your instructions so we may begin to repair the heart of the earth and its people.

Together we will reunite the two worlds and walk as one. We are united in our hearts now and can feel and hear the call to come together for the future of our children.

All the people working on The Great Gathering will be working hard to create this space for you to come forward with the respect and honor you deserve. We will carry these messages for you around the world in every direction.

Our intention is to ask for financial support through donations only so that we can then create gatherings around the world. Through this process we can support elders so they may travel and have meetings and gatherings with all people. These gatherings must remain free and open to everyone so that we can repair the heart of the planet.

Those individuals working on this project recognize that Mother Earth is calling us to action. We are here to support you and begin The Great Gathering of all people back to the heart.

The Great Gathering
One Voice One People One Earth

We are in a unique time on the planet; humanity is now facing a crossroad. The choices we make today will affect our children for generations to come.

By coming together in our hearts, we can and will create the change we want to see in the world. Every day more people are awakening to understand that we must act responsibly and act now to create this change.

How do we begin to make this change with our world facing crisis on so many fronts: financial woes, famine, homelessness, perpetual wars, food shortages, exploitation and disease (to name only a few)? We do have a choice.

We are in the time of choice and human beings around the world are feeling a call to unite and make our voices heard and our actions count. People from the indigenous world to the political are beginning to step forward and speak of this change through action and choice.

There are many indigenous groups, as well as different faiths and beliefs, now sharing prophecies regarding information about this special time on the planet. Within all beliefs there is a similar thread that gives us the same message: we must unite in our hearts in order to overcome the challenges we are now facing on the earth.

What is The Great Gathering? It is the same message of many beliefs from around the world. The message is simple: now is the time for humanity to unite to create the one voice for the people of Earth.

This Great Gathering will be in every country around the world; we will stand together and join our hands, our hearts and our voices. This will create the spark that brings light to the rest of the world and to humanity.

All groups from all directions will join in this celebration of life, of nature, of humanity and all that is.

Neighborhood groups, churches, friends, coworkers, families, corporations that are trying to be responsible, politicians trying to create change, religious leaders, eco-villages, farm associations, truckers, health care workers, humanitarian organizations, educators, laborers, dishwashers, peacekeepers, all races, religions and economic backgrounds (the list is endless) will come together as one in our hearts. Together we will be one voice and change will happen.

In order to begin The Great Gathering we must lay the foundation for this event through our networks of friends and associates. Change starts with the individual taking responsibility. Please send this message to your friends and networks around the world so that once The Great Gathering becomes known around the globe we can then act and call on humanity to join us.

Change and true unity comes from the heart and being humble in our service to the earth and others. We are all connected; this gathering is to remind us that our lives on this earth are a gift to be honored.

We are all equal and we deserve to be heard. The Great Gathering gives us all a voice to say we want change and support change for our children. Through our hearts and unity we can make a difference. Let’s work on making this a reality in 2010—the year of change—by sharing this one idea. Together we will decide when The Great Gathering takes place.

The goal of The Great Gathering is to use our voices to create a movement, choice, change and education within communities and societies around the world.

The Great Gathering is focused on the following list—but by no means is this everything. We chose these topics and areas of concern to demonstrate that we must find solutions that fit together to create a world we can leave to our children and grandchildren.

1)Indigenous people—They were the original caretakers of Earth. A respect and support of
them in the following areas should be an integral part of the setting of intentions and the finding of solutions.

2) The environment—Developing solutions for pollution, toxic waste, landfills, pesticide use, deforestation, etc.

3) Food supply—Open access to heirloom seeds of all varieties should be standard practice rather
than the current standard: being constrained by genetically modified seed use, pesticides, and limited food crops. We will look at food production to feed and nourish the world, including traditional farming and organic crops, as well as the right to own seeds.

4) Energy—Examining current levels of energy supply and resources and their availability in the
future. We want to see more focus on the development and promotion of new energy supplies to be available to all people.

5) Impoverished areas of the world—Looking for global solutions for all humanity. The knowledge and technology to prevent wide-spread poverty and suffering is available.

6) Humanitarian rights and free speech—Regardless of race, religion, gender, age, belief or other distinction, free speech around the globe – for freedom of the soul.

7) Home and building development—Exploring new ways to build and heat homes that are realistic in a growing world population.

8) Animal protection—We need to protect our planet’s animals from human development and poisonous dumping and spraying. The animals of our earth need us to be responsible or millions of species will not survive.

9) Education—All children deserve to learn reading, writing and math skills. Furthermore, there should be widespread education for the purpose of assisting the changes in the world we wish to see.

10) Health rights—Every human being on Earth should have access to health care—not only from the world of medicine, but also from the traditional and natural remedies of the world.

11) Maintaining natural resources—How to live in harmony with nature and the earth, including new ways of creating and delivering products.

12)Protection of ecosystems, small and large—Looking to protect the oceans, wetlands, deserts, and all ecosystems for the benefit of the planet and for generations to come.

13) Alternatives to our monetary systems– Looking at alternatives to our current monetary system and finding a simpler solution to trade and exchange of goods and services.

There are so many things that could be added to this list.

The fact is that all over Earth people are working for change in all these areas and more.
The fact is that until we realize that every one of these concerns are CONNECTED, we will not overcome the problems.

Together we can create true change. Separated we struggle.
Our collective intention will make change happen.

This video is one of the most imortant videos I have come across. Not because it tells us anything new but because it gives us a clear and simple explanation of what is really happening in our world. This tells us WHY it is so important for us to find our voices right now. Our world needs us and the earth is calling for those who have open hearts to come together and unite into one voice. If we do not stand together in a peaceful way then who will speak for our children, who will speak for  the earth and who will speak for our very souls.

Be brave and educate yourself not only in the spiritual but also in world issues that are effecting your life more than you may know. Educate those around you gently with love so they will be able to hear your voice.

The only way we can create the world me want is to BE the world we want…in our hearts. LIVE and WALK with the knowledge that you are an amazing human being and your voice and strength is powerful. YOU and I together will create the world we want to be a part of, you and I will BE the change we want to see in the world simply….by speaking our truth.
